We only fished walleye for a little while, but they still seemed to be biting well. Did a multispecies thing yesterday 4 nice walleye,3 northen and around 20 bass from 10:30-3:30

Man it`s great to hear the fishing is sooooo good this year up and down the river. The slot will only make it better.

I think John is talking about the slot on Illinois-Iowa part of the Miss. 20-27" walleyes must be released. I think we are in for some real trophy fishing here in a few years, with lots of good breeders being released to increase the populations as well. In my opinion, it is a win/win situation. Populations on many of these pools had been dwindling, and few trophys were found.
