Location: upper michigan | My buddy got a free pass as a co for the flw. He was told that he would be walleye fishing on the Mississippi this weekend when he got to La Crosse Wi a 5 hour drive. He found out that he is in fact fishing a FLW BFL (Bass Fishing League). That he would need his own rods and tackle. Fortunatly he brought a couple jigging rods with him but needed to go and buy a selection of jigs to fish the tournament. That was kind of a kick in the butt as he has a big box of bass tackle sitting at home. He was going to fish a lake trout tourney in lake superior this weekend but haveing a free pass includeing hotel stay he figured he would give the walleye tournament a try. If he had known he was going to be fishing for green carp he would have gone lake trout fishing instead. |

Location: Elgin, Illinois | Who told him he would be fishing for eyes... I'd have a chat with that person's boss... Whatever "goodwill" was supoosed to be generated by the "win" of a free pass got seriously diminished by the "surprise". |

Location: Rhinelander | Oh come on, it's FREE. A chance at some good prizes fishing with a couple great anglers, no charge, on one of the best Smallmouth bites in the WORLD... I'd say there was a miscommunication, and I'd bet the farm it wasn't intentional.
The top fish in a limit a few days ago there AVERAGED over 4 pounds. And!! If they are throwing 'traps'....... |
