| I was asked what the difference between the 1990 and the 2060, besides the obvious, length and interior.
Is there any structeral differnces in the hull?

Location: Orland Park, IL | Thats an interesting question. I know, for example, the 620 is more popular, though I see a lot of 621. Would the same difference apply to 1990 and 2060? Bigger is better, right... |

Location: Appleton, WI | The 1990 is shorter and a little bit wider, thus making a little bit more stable but slower. the 2060 is narrower in width making it noticeabley more rocky. At speed it really loves to chime. In rough water the narrower hull the better it will cut waves rather than ride up and spank the next. wider hulls have a much better stability fell and are more roomer inside but really beat you up in rough water. I wish I were rich because I would have both!

Location: Rhinelander | The 1990 and 2060 are the same hull as far as running bottom chine width and beam. The 2060 sports a few extra inches in length and a redesigned (for all intents and purposes, blueprinted) running bottom, but the width and beam at the chine and rub rail are basically the same. Of course, the redesign didn't stop there. The interiors were redesigned, placing weight forward to level out the at rest position; the 1990 was a tad transom heavy/bow light. The extra length added 50 HP to the rating. Then 2060 is actually a more stable platform at rest because the center of gravity is amidship. |
