Member Posts: 499 Location: Appleton | APPLETON: The Midwest Walleye Series (MWS) will be fishing the Winnebago system, on Sunday August 10, 2008 and will include fishing the entire Winnebago system. There will be registration and rules meeting will be at Rainbow Park Oshkosh. Registration is 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with the rules meeting at 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2008. Teams must be off the water by 5:00 PM Saturday August 10, 2008. NOTE THIS TOURNAMENT WILL GO OUT OF RAINBOW PARK THIS YEAR Tournament hours will be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM. The entire Winnebago system will be open to fishing. Jim Coon MWS Director is looking forward to see the teams overall point’s standings are after this tournament. Currently there is only 101 points between 1st place and 25th place and only 142 points between 1st and 50th place. The top twenty-five teams of the series will fish the championship tournament and attend the championship banquet. There will be no entry fee for the qualifiers. This years Championship will be October 4, 2008 fishing the Bay of Green Bay out of Menominee, MI. The MWS circuit is a professional, competitive, and affordable fishing opportunity. Results are posted on our website www.fishtfm.com as well as other web sites. Also, the Midwest Outdoors Magazine covers the tournament results. A subscription to the Midwest Outdoors Magazine in included with the MWS membership. The MWS is run by Fishermen for Fishermen. The major sponsors for the Midwest Walleye Series are Ranger Boats, Mercury Marine, MotorGuide and Mills Fleet Farm. Site sponsors include Anglers Pride, Action Discs, All Sport & Trophy, E-cell Batteries, Lakemaster, Lamiglass Rods, Ka Boom Lures, Mack’s Lures, Marine General, StowMaster Nets, Smooth Move Seats, Wave Spin Reels, and Midwest Outdoors. There are still openings in this tournament. We will take entries up to the rules meeting. However, entries postmarked or taken after August 2, 2008 will be charged a processing fee.
