They worked great for perch for me. Although I havent used the treble hooks, I think they might be a good replacement on cranks.

I have switched every trailing hook on my crankbaits to a bleeding bait hook. My success rate has increased substantially. I am a firm believer in the red hooks after seeing how my fish react to them in my fish tank. Huge difference.

I use the originals, Luretech's Power Glow painted Hot Hooks. Mike Boettcher out of Altoona Wis. came up with them.. Hard to get but well worth the effort. I use the trebles on any crankbaits I can, and regular hooks for live bait. He used to make snells, but stopped, though I think he still does hooks that can be used on snells.
