Gmanny2, we sell a pile of 186 Fishunters and has been a great boat for us! I have never sold one with the 175 Verado but I can tell you the 175 Pro x's will run 53-55 by yourself and loaded up with your buddy in the low 50's. The Verado should be about 1-2 mph less than that. The side console really opens the boat up but we've only sold a few of them. Any other questions give us a call at The Boat Doc, 920-269-2628, thanks
Josh

I'd go with the Pro XS HANDS down, but I like max speed and the purr of the XS. I have had the chance to sit in the 186 at boat doc. It'll be my next boat.

I have run a 186 Allure from The Boat Doc for the past 3 years and fish Lake Winnebago and Green Bay primarily. Yes it can handle 2-4'ers as long as you drive for the conditions. I'm truly impressed with how this boat handles the rough stuff and I can honestly say I've never taken a wave over the bow. But I also am very careful how I idle with bigger waves. If you are located in the Fox Valley or Green Bay area I would be happy to take you for a ride in it so you can see for yourself.
