| The article describing the Ironman deal said that all competitors had to compete in ALL 14 tournaments within the PWT Regional (4), the PWT Superpro (4), and the FLW Tour (4), in addition to both the PWT and FLW Championships for a total of 14 events. Please don't take this as anything more than a question to understand the criteria to be eligible for this award, but, didn't Pete Harsh have to skip the FLW Tour Championship? I do not in any way mean to question Pete's status or integrity, simply questioning what the format of the competition was. I could not imagine being on the road and putting in the work these guys did to do all these tourneys, I try to do 6-8 per season and on a much "closer to home" basis for the most part and I truly understand the strain and drain this must have. Please understand this is not meant to be an attack of any kind on Pete's integrity or his fishing prowess, neither of these issue should be questioned. I have seen him work on the water and off and like all the other competitors in this particular class (Ironman) not to mention anyone who tries to make a go of it with any Pro Circuit fishing, I have an extremely high level of respect and admiration for him and all competitors. I just wondered if this article was meant to read they had to compete in all 12 Circuit events since the Championships are far from guaranteed even if you fish all the circuit events. If anyone knows how this worked, please post. Sorry to take up all this space to ask 1 simple question but I really kind of felt bad asking for fear of it sounding like I didn't think Pete should be on this list. Nothing could be farther from the truth..RJ in Montana.. |

| Pete Harsh did fish the FLW Championship. It was the PWT Championship he qualified for, but didn't fish.

| Of the fishermen who fished all 12 events, only one failed to qualify for both championships (Backer didn't make the FLW but made the PWT). Harsh qualified for both couldn't attend the PWT Championship due to other commitments. Qualifying for the Ironman requires that you fish the 12 qualifiers, but not qualifying for one of the champs or not attending only affects your overall standing in the competition, thus the position of Harsh and Backer in the final standings. |

| Thank you both for clearing that up. That makes more sense. Thanks for the correction Jul's on which Champ. Pete couldn't make, I figured I was either going to be 50% right or 50% wrong!! Man, What a grueling schedule. I had one pro tell me a couple of years ago that he knew he was spending too much time on the road when he got home and the dog wouldn't let him in the house....LOL.. |

Location: Rhinelander | The Iron Men were all pretty tired by the last regional, that's for sure. You could actually begin to see the schedule was wearing on them a bit there at the end. 14 is one heack of a challenge, and 16 is just about a 'never home' scenario.
Congratulations to all the Iron Men for a great year. As a group the talent represented there is noting less than awesome.
