What a freaking ball we had tonight. Well, if you count the 4 I had half way to the boat and lost, the 3 I landed, and the 4 my buddy boated, well, we had a ball. I'm off to bed now, to get rested for tomorrows charter.

What's a boat??

We have 8" of ice now, but caught two last night on tip-ups, plus a few acceptable panfish.

I'm with you Steve.

I'm starting to feel like a Florida resident. New Years Eve and it's supposed to hit 47 degrees today and be in the 40's all next week. This may be the second Michigan winter in a row where we can't fish the Saginaw Bay through the ice.

Steve,

Open water is not very far away from you. I just returned from the Mississippi River where we caught 40-50 walleye and sauger a day. It's starting top look like we'll have open weather all winter long. It was 45 degrees and raining when I left.

All lakes are open around my home in Waukesha.

This is nutso. We had teens last night, looks like 42 Wednesday, and then into the freezer for Friday through next week and no real snow for the snowmobiles in sight. El NiƱo is performing exactly as advertised, I guess.
