Location: Rhinelander | Clear skies and temps in the 70's greeted the pros this morning as they prepared to launch or ready their rig at one of the area landings or from a slip at Bull Shoals Boat Dock. The water is VERY high, probably 30 plus feet, but the overall bite has been pretty good. Prefishing was good for most, with some nice fish and reasonable numbers caught. Trees and brush are the rule, but no memories to fish from previous events here because of the high water. Some anglers are avoiding cranks altogether because there is SO much wood submerged, the loss of baits would be too much. Pete Harsh is out due to Lymes disease, heal up fast Pete! Temps are going into the 90's today, so it will be warm out there. Watch for images and video from this morning soon! Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Location: Rhinelander | Yes, I noticed that, I should have ramped up the audio for Brumbaugh. I'll make sure I pay more attention tomorrow morning, and get a bit closer to the subject..

Location: Rhinelander | Bull Shoals was generous to some, and flat stingy with others today while the heat climbed into the 90 degree range and the sun baked almost calm waters. The trees and brush were key, and moving quite a bit seemed to be a theme with those who weighed enough to be in the top twenty. Trolling cranks and rigging produced the most fish, working the baits amongst the timber submerged by a Historic wet season that has Bull Shoals at about 35' above normal. At the end of a very warm weigh in, Jim Orcutt's 5 fish 18.38 pound limit holds down first place, just one pound ahead of Bill St Peter and just over two pounds ahead of John Thelen. The weather was a challenge North, as some of the anglers reported a big thunderstorm cell that was quite a show with lightning rolled through. Tomorrow looks about like today, with a mix of sun and clouds, a possible thunderstorm, and temps in the 90 degree range. Striking distance for top ten was upper 12's, and it took double digits to make the top twenty. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
