Found a new use for the Dock and Stay this weekend, fishing on Leach Lake with my drift sock out in 5' waves, watcing the drift sock bellow in and out and jerking the boat, it was annoying, I had a brain storm, I had a Dock and Stay in the locker, I hooked that to the lead going to the sock, WOW what a difference, no jerking of the boat, sock did not bellow in and out, drift was even in speed. Try it and if you get the Dock and Stay it is 2 fer, use it docking and drift sock

I've done the same with mine. Works great, and rides right aquare in the middle of the boat.

I have been doing that for the last four years just using a bungee cord works great with the drift socks.

No hooks. I use the climbing clips that you get at Home Depot and attach to the cleat which is attached to the harness. I replace the hooks that come with the Bungees. Works great! Bungees can be any length you want to use. Just replace the bungee every year for a couple bucks if used often.
