From the couple of girls!? making fishing lures out of shoelaces!? at the Dyke we heard that they "had 14 fillets last night"! So that was all we needed to know. We were all wound up, but for no actual reason cause we ended up Lyubo:Jamie~0:0...:( Back to our fields we crawl, but stopped in Necedah for a quick look and saw that The Spillway on the Yellow River is kind of crowded. Passing all the crannberrie boggs on the way I wanted to also trty them, but you cannot have it all, now can one!? Guys at the spill talked Walleyes, WhiteBass, Perch and Crappie we had means to target them all so we did. We did catch fish, and we did fight like hell, but go figure most cleen hookups were spawning Suckers. Took us a while till the first Eye, we never hooked a legal one! They were taking minnows and twistertails. The few rascals running around were having too much fun - I knew trouble is bound to happen and I missed another money shot the 3 were jumping pillar to rotten pillar of the former ancient bridge that obviously stood there in the past, off to the gravel bar that in figh water turns into a pretty lucrative Walleye holding structure of course the leftmost and bravest fell in LMAO waist deep colllllllllllllllld water, he popped out like a champagne cap and went to change while ontop of the rockbar they kept throwing rocks in the water and causing havoc, but the funny part is with the rocks flying Suckers turned even more aggressive and were slashing the shallows like crazy. Close to darkness Crappies started biting and I switched to a bobber, walleyes and Perch were hitting heavy during the shortlived period of dusk and cut right off, necessarrily everyone local left at that time. We ended up keeping 15 Suckers 2 Crappie and 1 Perch kicking it @ legitimate 50lbs!!!!!!!!!!!! The biggest fish was 22.5" and 7lbs.
