We only had two eyes by 2:30 and we were pretty far north, so we decided to stay out and fish awhile longer. It was 5:30 by the time we made it back to Rainbow Park and it looked like everyone was gone. So what were the winning weights? Our two fish totaled about 7.5-8.0 lbs with the big one a solid 5.0#, ended up with 5 eyes and 5 sheep...crazyeye[:p]

Crazyeye, we were all wondering where you were at the finish? I guess you tried to stay on the fish. However if that solid 5 pound fish was one of the ones you caught during fishing time it would have won big fish! I think big fish was 4.9 pounds or there arounds? They also were the ones who one the website tourney. I believe they were fishing over some of the reefs south of Oshkosh.

The big fish was 4.8 lbs. I'm not sure what the winning total was but I think it was about 8.2 lbs. I left the park about 5:00pm. Lumpy and few others were still there when I left. The prizes had been given out about 4:30 and we packed up the food about 4:45. We didn't know if you were still out or had come in early without telling anyone. Sorry I missed seeing you.

[:(] Ouch...Still had a great time, hopefully we will be back next year, and since my partner caught the 5.0 pounder I think he is going to feel worse than me. I assumed there would have been a lot of big limits weighed. Fishing is a constant learning process and I just learned a good lesson. (WEIGH YOUR CATCH!)... Going back out Thursday morning to practice for next years tourney. Thanks Lumpy, we enjoyed the whole day... crazyeye[:p]

WalleyeX here aka Greg and Karen Karch. We had a great day of fishing on Winneabgo. It all started by taking the drive down the river and into Lake Winnebago. We then took a left and drove to the North-East mud where we ran Hot-n-Tots, Shad Raps and Deep JR Thundersticks. Most of the cranks were run from 50 to 120 feet behind the board. It was no longer than five minutes and we had three fish in the boat with one of them being a 22 incher. In the next two hours we caught 16 walleye trolling cranks. Fishing slowed so we switched to crawler harnesses with bottom bouncers and snap weights and pulled a 19 inch walleye. We then decided to move way North were we lost a couple nice fish and caught a 20 inch sauger. Then came the long rough ride back to tourney headquarters were we weighed a 22’’,19.5 and 19 inch walleye to place 3rd. Thanks Lumpy for putting the tourney together. [:)]

Crazyeye, don't feel too bad about not weighing in. of my 3 fish that I weighed to take 2nd place, one was way bigger than the other two. At 12.8 lbs total, it had to have been over 5 pounds. Truth is, I never gave it a thought because of the euphoria of finishing 2nd and also I never got in the big fish pot, so I never had it weighed. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't...
