Location: Neenah, WI | Yesterday when I was trolling I noticed that when I keyed my radio mike the RPMs on my T-8 would drop a bit. My first thought was the battery but it seems to be fully charged. I checked the connections and all seems ok. This never happened before and I'm stumped on where to look next. Any ideas? |

Location: Menasha, Wis. | I have the same problem with a trollmaster.
Have thought about putting some kind of electrical filter on the reostat wire, but need to call Trollmaster first.
Now I just listen more to the radio then talk.
Maybe someone else has solved the problem, and will answer this thread.
Happy fishing to all |

Here is your easy fix. Flip the on/off switch on the trollmaster to off when miking the marine radio. You'll keep the same speed. When done talking on the radio, just flip the switch back so that you can fine tune the speed again. Trollmaster is aware of this problem with some setups and is working on it.
In the mean time, the quick fix is very easy to do. |

Location: Neenah, WI | Yup, I've got a Trollmaster. Funny I never noticed it before but that could have to do with my advancing years LOL.
Thanks for the info and advice. Sure beats tearing my boat apart looking for a gremlin that isn't there.
Thanks |
