Hey guys---have a question, i'm new to this area down here, and you are talking about Wendts etc. is there a good recomadation for a style/type of map to get for names/areas/structure of the big lake....thanks for any replys

FHS is a good map, but that won't help you much when guys starting talking about landmarks. Take a few hours and drive around the lake. Have a FHS map with you. Mark down areas like Wendt, Willows, Jesuit, et. as you go.

There is a map company out of Madison named Mapping Specialists. Their maps are really different than FHS, as their contours show a 3D effect. I really liked the Bago Map,,,just saw it yesterday at Arlington Park Sports Show.....WM

It doesn't list local names but does identify major structure:

1) Go to http://www.maptech.com

2) Along the top line click on "online maps":


3) Click on "Maptech MapServer":


4) Type in "Lake Winnebago" selct "WI" for state OR 54952 (zip code)

5) Click on "Nautical Map" and manuever accordingly.
