Hit the Black Hole today with board member eyellaw, and it payed off. 7 for 10. All were not BIG fish, but 4 were real nice. We even caught some squirts a catfish and one BIG perch, but what a great day. Never even lit the heater. Also picked up two jumbo perch that must have fell out of a guys pale on the trail on his way in. They are catching some nice ones just on the other side of the first crack out of Ericson. Pictures below.

Rob.

I know your ears had to be burning yesterday. Especially when I caught that #4 catfish. The first thing that cat said when he came through the hole was "Rob?" "Is that you?"

How long do you expect to be able to continue to ice fish? What's the usual ice out over there, just curious. We are looking at a very cold March here in N Wisconsin so far, with the highs in the 20's and lows in the zero range the last few days. Brrr. Rob, you the 'kitty king' out there?

Steve.

By this same exact date last year, we had open water for three days. I suspect given what I'm seeing, we will be 2 weeks behind this year even if things warm up fast.
