Member Posts: 701 Location: upper michigan | My brother is fishing the MWC in spring valley and is in need of some handline weights he had ordered some but they are the 2 pound weights and he wants something smaller. If anybody here will be in spring valley and wants to sell a couple let me know and I will pass the message on.

Member Posts: 145 | Hutch took my daughter and I out handlining a couple of years ago, and when I could barely touch bottom with 8 ounces of lead on a 3-way, we pounded fish on handlines. Hutch borrowed us a handline reel, and for the next 5 days we boated over 80 walleyes. 76 on the handline and 4 on a 3-way rod with 8 ounces of lead. I now own 2 handline reels and all of the fixin's. My daughter can't wait until Easter vacation so we can go and pound them again.....if the water cooperates. Last year we saw the water rise 6' and fill with crap in the week that we were there, but she is still pumped. We can't go into a baitshop without her picking out a "handline lure." Thanks Hutch!!!! as usual. Beav and Taylor Attachments ---------------- Taylor 24 inch handline fish CPRd.JPG (125KB - 162 downloads)

Member Posts: 1656 | Butch, in your neck of the woods is a little place called Cedar River bait and tackle ask him about his very large bottom bouncers. He has 6, 8, 12, and 16 oz bottom bouncers. thay all can easily be converted to handline weights with a pliers and wire cutter.
