I need to buy new hooks for any of my crankbaits, mainly #5 and #7 shadraps. Could someone make a recomendation for hook sizes and styles.

RSR,
I have a box of trebels that I keep with my cranks for when I'm fishing. It's my "spare" trebels box. I have 10's 8's 6's 2's and 1/0's when one gets low I order another 25 pack from barlows, I like the black nickle.

As for sizes on Shad raps, I think you'll want 8's or 6's. one other thing I've played around with on a few cranks during certain bites when they are coming up short or barely hooked in the lip. Bump up a hook size on the back hook, you'll get a few more better hook ups.

Good luck.

I will second Jayman. There a lighter wire hook so bumping up a size wont hurt.
