| Does any one know if the new structure scan from lowrance is compatable with my LCX111. What cords if any do I need to make this work on my unit? |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | The StructureScan is exclusive to the HDS units, so no, you cannot use the StructureScan with the LCX models or any other Lowrance models for that matter. You can network with the HDS units and the old LCX units, but you cannot use the StructureScan or get the HD sonar reading through the Ethernet hookup. |

| I got the HDS-8 basemap. use a Hotspots card works good enough for me. some guys are more into this than me though. with the cards available today, basemap should do it. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I agree with iceman. I've got my HDS units on order and both of mine will have 2010 Navionics chips in them! In my opinion, I'd save the money and put it towards a Navionics chip. |

| Definatly save the money and buy the Cards for them either Navionics or lakeMaster. I currently run the insight and found that the depths and also finding the structure is much more difficult with the insight vs. and of the cards. |
