I run a TS202 and have a minnkota maxxum 24v 74 62" shaft and it is perfect for this boat. The only thing I would change is adding Universal sonar to it.(T/M was on the boat allready otherwise I would of got it off the bat) If you do a lot of pulling up-river with your T/M you may want the Maxxum 36v 101, allthough I have never run out of juice with my 24v 74 yet.

FYI - I asked Minnkota if they plan to make a 101lb with Universal Sonar since I was thinking of upgrading to this if possible and they said not anytime soon.

WHAT SIZE KICKER/TYPE DO YOU RUN ON THIS BOAT.MY BIGGEST CONCERN FOR POWER CONSUMPTION IS THE COLD WEATHER AS I FISH IN NORTHERN ALBERTA AND SASKATCHEWAN IN LATE FALL.ANY OTHER INFO.YOU CAN GIVE ME WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED AS I WANT TO RIG THIS BOAT UP 100% FROM THE GET GO. CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE AS MY BROTHER AND I OWN A FISHING LODGE IN NORTHERN ALBERTA/SASK. ON LAKE ATHABASCA WWW.LAKEATHABASCATOURS.COM

Dore,

I have a 9.9 mercury 4-stroke for a kicker. I can troll anywhere from about .7 to 5+ with it. I'd say bowmount electronics are your call. Not really sure on the current draw difference of the comparable units. I would imagine most similar size finders would draw around the same juice.

One suggestion for the cold weather/battery issue I may recomend would be to make sure and get an extra bank on your on-board battery charger and wire it to your starting battery. This way whenever you leave the dock after having the boat plugged in you know for sure the starting battery is topped all the way off. I found out the hard way a month ago at 2am on LBDN with -5 windchill that the alternator's on our kickers don't put out much juice at low RPM's. And after two nights of lights/depthfinder/acc. running all night and no long runs with the big engine to charge up the battery there wasn't enough juice left to crank the big engine.

It's a great boat, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I've ordered a Fish Hawk 1750sc and am wondering what type of receptacle I need for a bow mount trolling motor. I have a powerdrive 65(24v) and am wondering if the one Minn Kota makes will fit the 12/24v outlet?

If anyone can help that would be great!!!

Thanks,

Jay

I'm betting your boat will come with a couple of adapters. My Lund 1700 Fisherman came that way with several style plug adapters.
