Location: Elgin, Illinois | My wife is traveling back to our home this evening. She just passsed through the Utica, IL area. Apparently a tornado has caused extensive damage and numerous injuries. It may be premature but it sounds very bad... I will post a followup as I get info...
We (walleye fishermen) have lots of friends from Utica. Your thoughts and prayers for them will be appreciated |

Location: Elgin, Illinois | There has been reported severe damage to the "downtown area"; firestation, police station, grade school, grain elevator, and all of the downtown businesses suffered some damage. One "bar" collapsed with people trapped inside...apparently there are now at least four deaths reported. |

| Starved Rock Bait and Tackle was completely destroyed in the Tornado. Fortuneately neither the owner
Jim Collins nor any of his help were injured as they had closed just before it hit. I sure anyone who has
fished the area has met Jim at one time or another. - Tom Cooney |

| Yes, Jims (Starved Rock Bait and Tackle) is gone. Jim is already talking about rebuilding. For all of you who have been to the Spring Valley Boat Club in the past I'm sure you have met Wayne Bahl. He was one of the 8 people who lost there life in the basement. We will always remember Wayne for his Fish On attitude.
