was out on saturday and had some great fishing. i started up at the damm.after three passes and had two sauger that looked like pencils. didnt see the jiggers catching anything i left and started looking at my areas down stream. didnt take long to find some awsome walleye. one spot that i call "big fish" was loaded with walleye. CPR,ed a 24 and26.5 inch females full off eggs.and put seven fish in the BOX that were 17-22 inchs. there is a deep 30 foot hole on this spot, the fish were up in front of the hole on the flat in 12 feet of water. trolled three-ways with the most productive #11 clown rapala, and char-white rapala. had a 42 degree reading on my lowrance so this tells me that the fish will be spawning this week....

My daughter and I are leaving at 4AM for the entire week out at the trailer.
Should I hand deliver your Rapalas Larry? After this report, the Clown pattern might be a little short. I sent you an e-mail with my phone # at the trailer.

beav, i think that you have planned a great week for walleye fishing. you know where to look. there was a good bite at the hole in the wall and on the outside of desoto bay. i was pulling threeways and it seemed like i had a fish on all day long. my son in law was impressed by the numbers of fish we put in the boat.

Water Temp on Monday ranged from 45 deg to 47 deg. Males are milking all over the place and a few females where throughing eggs. A few of them still felt pretty solid but after today they will all be blowing for the most part. GET OUT THERE and CPR those big girls or anything over 20" and keep them males.

I will be out agian tonight and the rest of the week.

Brother-In-Law was out yesterday and still caught fish, not as many but water is coming up and he said there was a ton of SH^% coming down. Trees and weeds! Pretty shitty for fishing. He was going to wait until this Friday to get back out but I would think with tonights forcast and the flood warnings on the black and trempeleau rivers it isn't going to get any better. But I imagine there will be a floatilla of boats out Sat. and Sunday with the weather in the upper 50s and 60s both days.
