Location: WI | I recently networked two hds 8 units together. I have a couple questions. (1) When I turn the units on, do I have to set anything up in the menu on either unit or is it all automatic once the ethernet cable is connected ? (2) Will my waypoints from my first unit appear on my new unit or do I have to download them,with a sd card ? Thanks! |

| There should be start up menu when you power it up, asking you some set up questions follow them. Yep should transfer waypoints automatically. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Your waypoints will not automatically transfer. Both units have to be on for both units to get the waypoint. You'll need to put the waypoints on a sd card, transfer them to the unit. |

| Thanks Guys, I turned each unit on, turned my structure scan on and they did transfer automatically. |

| Glas to hear that it worked, when networked together they will share waypoints without having to transfer them by SD card |

| So I have a related question. I've been running a 38HD and have a ton of waypoints on it. I'm adding a HDS-7 and HDS-8 I want to network all of them together with LSS-1. What do I need to do to tranfer my waypoints from my 38HD to both new HDS units?
Is it card from 38 to one HDS unit then one will synch to the other or since all 3 will be hooked up they all synch together.
