May come up to Red Wing this weekend. Anything going? Where? What? Are the sloughs open at all? Hay Creek? Buffalo? Milie's? Main Channel? Wing Dams?

Shep...Most of the consistent action has been on the main channel (everything from 3-ways to jigs). The back channel access is open and obviously everts is open too. Look shallow early and late in the day and not just rip-rap areas...sand gravel areas are producing too. Hope this helps...Jon

The bite has not been to bad up by the dam! Fish are being caught with plastics and live bait.

Saturday, 3/13/04. Pool 4.

Fished by the dam, and caught lots of small saugers on jig and minnows. Some on plastics. Early afternoon, caught 3 nice keepers in a deep hole in the channel. Again, on minnows. Tried a few spots downriver, but they only produced a few smaller fish. Only 1 eye all day.

Shep, I tried to e-mail you prior to your trip last weekend and I kept getting a undeliverable message back. I got your address from the profile page so you may want to check it. Next time you head up this way let me know and maybe we can hook up. Hope you enjoyed your trip despite some fairly tough conditions. We had a fairly decent bite but they were not jumping into the boat by no means. If this weather holds I think things are really going to bust loose by next weekend.

Loren,

Not sure why I didn't get you e-mails. I will e-mail to you tonight, and see if that works. I know I've been bombarded lately with infected e-mails that my ISP is catching. Did you send some kind of attachment?
