Tonight after serious deliberation, an executive decision was made by Jim K. and Charlie M. to decrease the size limit to 14" from the 15" that was originally declared. This has drawn very mixed emotions from anglers who have been pre-fishing for fish over the 15" size limit. This decision should increase the number of fish weighed to counteract the number of zeros that were anticipated due to the tough fishing conditions. Now that the 14" size limit is there, do the anglers go catch there 6 fish first and then try for bigger fish? Or, do they stick to what they had going, hoping that if they were on bigger fish that they will out-weigh 3 of the smaller 14" fish? Either way, this cetainly adds a challenge for the pros.

Good Luck To All!

Thanks Goes To Gary Gray For The Excellent Dinner At The Rules Meeting!

OK! call me stupid....It's gotta be the Kentucky air...so it starts tomorrow....dah.. I gotta stop workin this hard!...What will making the size limit to 14" really do? just bring more smaller fish to the table? I think it's a bad decission. Everyone will catch fish that size... They will need to go with a scale to 4 decimal places to break the ties!!!hahaha
Good Luck

Fishing conditions couldn't be tougher for the PWT event tomorrow! This will test every angler out there. The reduced size limit may improve the overall catch, but one would expect that SOMEONE will get into some good fish.

during four days of prefishing with gary gray and pete harsh these 14 inchers were all over the system. i think that the 15 inch rule should of been kept in place. to lower the size limit to make some of the pros look good really sucks. if you zero you zero, why let smaller fish determine the weight. if you want my opinion the guys that can find the fish we were catching two of these fish will out weigh 6 of them 14 inchers. then if a big fish is caught it will destroy all guys that target the little fish. dont you swing for the fences and go for the win , thats why you tourny fish. then agian playing it safe and limit out each day to stay in the points race. i bet 100 boats head up the wolf towards freemont!!!

Its ridiculous to change the rules the night before the tourney begins. A lot of people are un happy with the decision. When you plan a strategy on the existing rules and then they change as you go that is not fair to all of the competitors.

Should be lots of fish weighed now.

At the start today it was raining. I can look out my window and see the trollers are set up near Clarks point on Winneconne. Raining with about a half inch last night. Lake is like glass. With the 14", everyone should get their limit.
