Member Posts: 53 | I recently downloaded the 2.1.0 update for my lcx111c HD and the 1.9.0 update for my gps reciver. When I install the sd card into the slot on the unit it wont immediatley install like it should. I can find it in the files area but all it will allow me to do is copy or delete. The same is true for the gps update. How can I retieve and update my unit???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Member Posts: 53 | I just purchased the card from scheels so it was brand new. I copied the sd card to the hard drive and found it under files but connot update the software. I didn't get the update tab on the screen and they tell you to hit wpt 5 times but that did not work. Hope someone can help!!!!!! Thanks

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | The gps module update did not install automatically for me. I had to run that manually by looking for the file. The LC update worked automatically as stated. Make sure its unzipped on the flash card.

Member Posts: 219 | Don't mean to hi jack your thread but why update the reciever? Is there a problem with the current program for the reciever or does the new update go hand in hand with the units update? Just curious because I have never had asn issue with my reciever and am hesitant to update it.

Member Posts: 3899 | First thing you want to do is update the GPS Receiver. There should be two files on your SD for this. One will look like this Lgc2000_VXXX .luf and the other will look like TitanMS_V210.bin. Start your unit. Make sure the GPS Receiver is powered up. Insert the SD. hit menu two times. cursor to Browse Files. Enter. Cursor down to the file that ends with .luf. Enter Cursor to Update Enter. This should update your GPS Receiver. Turn of Unit. Wait a few seconds, and power it on again. The Sonar should then update it's firmware completely. To Check, hit Menu twice. Cursor to System Setup Enter. Cursor to Software Information. Enter. This will tell you your current Firmware version. To Check the GPS. Hit Menu once. Cursor to NEMA 2000 Enter. Cursor to Bus Setup. Enter Cursor to LGC2000 Enter. This should then diplay the GPS Reciever information. Good luck.

Member Posts: 53 | Got all the downloads completed. The lowrance people told me the 2.1.0 update to the unit would not work without updating the reciever software to the 1.9.0 update. Thanks for all the help. Just qurious? What if the nmea 2000 catagory doesn't show up. I found mine in the networking catagory but tried to update a friends 111 and I cannot find where to check the reciever software. He doesn't have the NMEA2000 spot or the networking catagory. Thanks again!!!!
