I just bought a 1990 Tuffy and the front seat post is stuck! I mean stuck! It may have never been taken out! LOL

Couple of things have come to mind, big pipe wrench, sawz all and cut the thing off.

I'm open for idea's, at this point I'm about willing to consider most anything.

Oh, the screws holding the base to the floor are also stuck, I thought about removing base pedistal and all but that won't work either.

Brian, what do you mean the screws holding the base down are stuck as well. do they spin where they are at?

Yep, the part that is screwed to the floor. It's like they are welded.

I haven't really gone after them yet, kinda short tempered if you know what I mean. lol

Spray some WD40 around the seat pole and see if it frees it up.

I had the same problem on a boat of mine once. I took the seat off the pedestal and sprayed WD40 on the inside as well and let it sit for a few hours and it broke free, so you may try that as well. I really used a lot, so give it a shot.

After the wd40, give it a good crack with a hammer. Hopefully, warm enough so the pipe dont warp.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'll try the WD40 first.........but I know I'm gonna end up giving it a good whack with a BFH.

WD40 and a pipe wrench should do it.

I had a similar issue with my Crestliner. I sprayed a little ReelMagic around the affected areas and an hour later..viola!
