| On my 2006 150 optimax today took it to the water and the trim gauge doesn’t work. Is had worked just fine for a year and doesn’t seem to work. I don’t think it is the gauge because when you turn the key on the gauge moves a little. Is there anything i could take a look at or do the sensors go bad on them. If so would it be covered under mercury warranty or lund warranty. Thanks for the help.

Did you check behind the gauge to see if your wires are connected tightly? I have had wires come loose before and sometimes the gauge would flicker back and forth but after checking behind it, I found that it just had a loose wire. You might take a look and see, if you haven't already. |

| I checked that and they are connected. Have you ever heard of them going bad or are they fused? Kinda strange how it just stoped working. |

Location: Rhinelander | the trim wires are ok if the motor trims up and down OK. I'd bring her back to your dealer to see if the gauge or connections to the gauge are bad. |

| Ya it trims up and down good and everyting i just think the TRIM SENDER is bad. Then i turn the key on the gauge moves a little but so it is geting power. I think it is the gauge. It worked just fine a few days ago. |

| I just fixed what sounds to be the same thing. I forget what the part they gave me was, but my trim gauge went a little ways but never for sure. On my Yamaha it was just a $2.00 give or take a few cents plastic piece that I believe works with the sender unit to show the trim...Im guess it would be relatively the same for a Mercury. Hope this helps!

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | What is the name on the trim guage? It sounds like a sender, but guages have been known to go bad. Most guages will be covered for 1 year from purchase. The sender is a mercury warranty and that will be covered for 1 year from purchase, they will know that from mercury registration date. Call your sales guy, he should be helpful.
