Subject: The ALL NEW Tuffy X-190

Here are a few images of the ALL NEW Tuffy X-190.

The Tuffy X-190 is the first of a new series of boats from Tuffy, the "X" Performance-V Series. Lower profile multi-species boats designed specifically for the angler demanding greater performance, higher value, and increased versatility from their rig. From muskie to walleye to bass, no boat in its class will X(cross)-perform as well as the Tuffy X Series.

When compared with the Tuffy Deep V series, these boats run faster with less horsepower, allow access to skinnier water, and trailer and launch "lighter" due to their low profile design and single axle trailer. Yet, they still deliver the same wave crushing, soft, and quiet ride Tuffy is known for. This is due to the X-190's Performance V-Hull design combined with Tuffy's standard-setting hull laminate schedule and deck-to-liner one-piece fusion process, which literally creates a true, single-piece boat.

The X190 is available in single console, dual console, and tiller models with either an Osprey or Esox interior with a removable rear storage deck.

The X-190 will be unveiled at the Tuffy Boats Get-Together, September 21-23, Namakagon Lake, WI

The X-190 Preliminary Specs
Length: 19'0"
Beam: 90"
Transom: 25"
Inside depth: 21"
Max HP Console: 200
Max HP Tiller: 90
Livewell: Single 52" or Dual 26"
Rod Locker: 14 rods 8' 6"
Length on Trailer swing away tongue motor down: 21' 5"

I notice it has less engine setback? Is there a reason?

Nice looking ride

It's just a completely different style of hull. More setback can be added it desired by adding a jack plate, although it performs great without one.

Testpilot,

There was a question about a X175.
Is Tuffy offering a smaller version of the X190? From the video clip on the ride of the X190, that hull looks to be really smooth for us multi species guys.
When will Tuffy have the specifications on their web site for the X190 and maybe the X175 if there such a model?

Thanks,

Happy fishing to all

I was privlaged to run this boat last weekend and with 2 men / 3/4 tank of gas / live well full (troll motor and 3batteries). We hit 59.8 GPS down stream & 59.4 up. The Merc is still running in break in mode so this boat is going to perform. If anyone was a fan of the Stratos 219 or similar boats you will find yourself pleased with the X190 as this boat also has many interior changes to open the boat up for troling and rear use along w/ a front deck that is huge (+ offer much more storage). I'm also surprised how much more solid this seemed over other boats I've run.

I glad to see Tuffy really listens to their user.
I plan to order mine soon..

Rick

I drove this boat right off the trailer Saturday morning at the GTG. WOW, is all I can say. This boat is going to be under a lot of Muskie guys, and river guys beginning next year. Solid performer with the 175 Pro XS, this boat performs awesome. Very fast, and stable. You are low to the water, and can drive the boat easily at any speed. I stood in the front, on the sides, in the back. Sits very level, with little lean. Very reminiscent of the 219, the way it sits and rides. But a way more functional interior for both muskie, and walleyes, even bass. Did I say it was fast? Rated for a 200 HP, I think a 150 would be the perfect motor, and still get you to 50+ easily. Did I say WOW? Good job Tuffy. Priced right, to I maight add.

It kinda reminded me of a scaled down Champion fishhunter, the way it rode and fished. Pretty unique. I'm a green bay guy so I'll stick with my 2060, but it's a neat boat and lots of fun to drive.

Bobski

It is like driving a convertable with the top down, very sporty feel to it.

My 1890 with the WT is like driving a old mans boat

But I'm quickly becoming an old man

Very sharp looking boat, and the trailer is a single axle which is a big plus for my garage. My only concern is cockpit size/depth because I like to troll also. Will have to check it out.

I think there is enough room to troll in this boat. I'd probably want to move the rear rails back, like I did on my 1890. It might be a bit tight in back with two guys setting lines, but I think a 620 is tight while setting lines. Should be no problem with space. Certainly more room than the ProV LE series from Lund.

If you spend a great deal of time on the rivers, and medium lakes, this boat will be an awsome choice. I would not hesitate to run the boat on Green Bay or Bago, but I'd rather have the 1890 hull under me for those lakes. If I didn't spend so much time on GB, I'd really consider this for my next boat.

funny, when going 50mph in wind, rain, and chop i've never thought, "this is an old man's ride." rather, i've thought, "i really like going fast while being warm and dry at the same time!"
if the X190 is more fun to drive than the 1890, i don't know if i'd ever slow down long enough to do any fishing!

I believe we are building a house right around the corner from you. I didn't know that was such a prestigious neighborhood. We may have to raise the price! I'm all set in the boat department though thanks.
