Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Well were three days from the PWT championship on Saginaw Bay starting Friday. What do you guys think it's going to take to win this one and who do you think will pull that weight? Edited by Merckid 5/13/2008 12:18 AM

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | gp to the pwt website and see the johnsonville brat angler of the year top 30 and the regional qualifiers top 20 and you will find the field for this weeks championship.

I believe that you are 1/2 right. Those lists are who qualified, not necessarily who is participating. As an example, I believe that Eric Schuelke is not going. For the record, I'll pick our own Johnny Candle

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Can you tell me this, why would a person choose not to participate in a tournament where there is no entry fee and everyone gets a check at the end? That would about cover costs. Unless its personal.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Dave has 1 win there and 1 at st. claire. In all fairness the one he won at saginaw was a one day event. But that does not take away the fact that he won, just a FYI.

I think the odds on favorite has got to be Scott Glorvigen. Reason??? He won the FLW Championship in 2000, the PWT Championship in 2004, you see the system here. He seems to win the big show every 4 years. Hence, in 2008, he is due to win again. How's that for overthinking the situation:) threetimer

Keep in mind that the pros are only allowed to weigh in 4 fish per day. They do this so that culling is allowed. For example, if a pro landed a 5th fish...they'd be done for the day, since a 6th cull fish would put them over the limit. Anybody that can get 18-20lbs per day is going to be right in the thick of things.
