Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I will call it today, November 24th, the river is frozen. The snow last eve covered it and there is substantial thickness. And so it starts, 126 and a wake up to ice out. Have a lovely winter. Edited by stacker 11/24/2008 10:46 AM

Member Posts: 1406 | I say you take a couple chuck roundhouses and plow your way out there to place an official marker! I'll lay claim to March 24th, and if that don't work I'll call Mr. Norris up and have him breath heavy in your direction that morning! Good luck Tyee

Member Posts: 197 | Hey Kirk, how is it going. I did have a question about trimming to much. Some guy at work told me trimming it up to far is bad because oil doesn't get to the top piston. Denny told me it is not. Whats your take on this? I was gun shy to trim it up just because I was a little nervous on how fast the 1890 went when I did that. It sure made Winnebago smaller with my new boat. Actually pretty cool when a storm rolls in and I'm 10 miles from the landing. Nice to know I have it when I need it.

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | My definition of ice out is when the ice is out:P I believe you are way off Denny or Dennis or whatever your alias is these days. My pick is February 14th. One way or another I will be in fishing out of a boat on that day, count on it.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | With 16 inches on poygan and 8 on the river and all the snow it looks like a winter wonderland. I had to recount 3 times, 88 and a wake up, and according to some, it will be shorter. Man, don't forget the ice breaker 4 hosted by Critters sports in winneconne in march. 88 days, wow, I will never be ready.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | 82 and wake up. FYI, yesterday I was on the river at Fort Fremont just down stream of Fremont and drilled holes. There was 9" on the west side of the river and there is 14" on the snowmobile trail. The water is clear andthere is flow. I made my first drive of spring and as predicted I found alot of snow. If things stay, we will have good water yet again this year. Ice Breaker IV, winneconne critters sports March 13-14-15 BE THERE
