You're boy ends the season with a pick again. Remember. I said he would break Viking fans hearts with a season ending pick.

Man, he did take some shots tonight, eh? Never said he wasn't tough physically.

Many of us wondered what happened to our old friend Brett Favre. Where had he gone. He certainly wasn't the man who threw only 7 interceptions for those Vikings, was he? NO certainly this was some imposter that was wearing some hollywood make-up..or was it? Well we finally got to see our old friend last evening. There he was, the loveable gunslinger who played for the love of the game, no animosity in his heart...no he's one of the good ones. And when it came right down to it, we knew for sure he was our old quarterback. With nothing but green field in front of him and a timeout in his pocket, he elected to do what he had done so many times in the past, Yup, brake your heart. But this time he did it to the Purple and Gold. An easy field goal in his grasp and there goes the ball, back across his body right into the hands of the defender...Hello Old Friend!

I loved his comments afterwards to reporters, something to the effect of: "You guys can print what you want, but I'm going out on top."

Ummmmm, NO, you're not.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!!! There's nothing better than listening to ViQueens fans whine on other websites about which team is better and talk about what a great season it was......spoken like true losers!!! Until the ViQueens win a Super Bowl they are what we thought they were.....LOSERS!!!

Maybe the Queens should call the Jets and ask them to play a game of the so-called best teams....we can call it the Losers Bowl...or better yet, the Bloomington Bud Grant Bowl!!!

That steak from Rich will be the best tasting steak ever. We should plan on being together to enjoy the moment.

I gotta admit it though, I was starting to feel sorry for him with all the pounding of that 40 year old body. He is what he is and part of it is being a warrior. I wonder how old he feels today?

Minnesota you have have now been Farved. BUT, I would also be very angry with 12 guys in the huddle that took them out of field goal range. What's up with that?

Great game with a great ending.

Oh yeah. Steak! I was hoping Rich would be the one to remind me. I say we meet halfway. Say at M J Stevens? They got a great menu! Rich, I'll drive. Save you the gas money for cocktails! hehehe Jerry? You were in on this too. Right?

Worked out just as TT planned. #4 played just good enough to get Chili an extension. Things are looking brighter for the Packers future!

Think Brent is up and at 'em today yet? Any butt slapping going on today?

Hey Viking, what is that swirly move that Allen does after a sack? I think Potter does it better. Had to tell, though, as we didn't see it from Allen at all yesterday! Was he even in the game?

This scene has been played out in Packer homes for about 12 years. Queen's turn!

For many packer fans it was a ugly win. Meaning, they loved the guy for years but after he kicked them in the nutz they disliked him and felt ashamed to say they like him. The loss on the toss was like a "I told ya so" in the biggest sense for a sect of fans, They call them Farve haters. The other guys who love him openly love him no matter where he plays, they just say he is great, well, they have short memories of when he was crying and had every wisconsinite fan crying with him. After the way they handled the end of the cowboys game last week, and the answer chilly gave, they got what they had coming this week.

I never liked the guy and believe that if holmgren would not have honed him he would be a ace hardware store owner in kiln way before now.

I owe Dennis a steak. Shep said (did not bet) that no way the Vikings would win both games against the Packers. He did not BET so he owes me nothing. I do however owe Dennis a steak and he will get it from Haases supper club.

I am NOT a Vikings fan but did think they had a great shot at winning. Favre is what got them there and he amoung other things is what costed them the game. AFC has zero chance so it was whoever wins this game would take it.

The bet made for an interesting season and gave me something to root for knowing the Packers weren't going to go far.

Dennis, let me know when you want me to pay up.

No need to pay my way. I did bet that #4 would not take the Vikes to the SB. Look to the other post.

After re-reading the original thread, you said you would take the bet but we never agreed to any terms. You then also took the bet that the Vikings would not win at Lambeau but we did not agree to any terms. Looks like a wash to me.

If anyone wants to join us for steak dinner you are more then welcome. Once we figure out when one of us will let you know.

All I can say is, it was one of the best seasons I have ever had watching the game of football. Packers/Vikings/Jets....wow what great discussions around the coffee pot all season! Although a Favre fan at heart I must admit he did it again in a typical Brett fashion! There were too many chances in this game and quite frankly Minnesota put on one hell of a show! You all were pretty quiet until this game and the I told you so's run rampent again. I didn't make any bets with any of you but theres a few of you that deserve a drink on me! Dinner....well I'll pay my way if theres an invitation for a Favre fan to join in the discussion....Rich, don't worry bud I won't leave ya out to the wolves alone!
Good Luck

Looks like you guys had as much fun yesterday as I did the day after the Packers were knocked out of the playoffs two weeks earlier. I wish I could have joined the fun but there were some monster crappies that needed attention on Petenwell.

Having suffered through Darrin Nelson's failure from the 1-yard line, Gary Anderson's missed chip-shot, and a 41-0 blowout in their most recent experiences in the NFC Championship game, this Viking's fan went into the game more than a little pessimistic.  Of course, they did get me sucked in a  few times and then let me down, again. However, not being too hopefully made it much easier to handle the fumbles, interceptions, and stupid penalties that inevitably led to their demise.

Tyee,

I didn't make too much noise before that game on here, because nobody was talking on here at all. On other boards, all I said to the Vikes fans, all season long, was he will break your hearts with a season ending pick. Turns out I was right.

Look, I'm not a Favre hater. I was a huge fan for most of those 16 years as a Packer. My support started waining with the pick he threw against Philly. Then pretty much hoped he would retire when he tossed that pick to get out of the cold 2 years ago against the Giants. What happened after he retired was driven by his ego, and his need to be in the spotlight. He played great this year. Better than he ever played. He was under control for most of the year. He seemed like he was really thinking about taking care of the ball, and getting what the defense gave him. Then, he tossed Chili under the bus, and took over thwe offense, and finally failed to do what they brough him in to do. Make the play at the end of a game to put them in a position to win. He failed with a boneheaded play. The type of play we had seen hundreds of times in the previous seasons.

I'm not a profit. I knew he would end his season, and stomp on the hearts of his fans, the way he did.

Now, WWBFD? The Tractor watch has begun. For his sake, I hope he retires, and stays retired. He can't get it done.

I' ready to eat. I just need to keep Tuesday's and Thursday's out of the picture. I am also willing to wait for spring so that I can make it a fishing trip in the area. Your call.
