does anyone like to ice fish on petenwell.i never see any posts from there.every time i have ice fished it i had lots of action.i have caught 57 walleyes in one day before. only draw back is its hard to get fish over 15 inchs. its like one keeper to fifty 14.75in. fish. but alot of the time its hard to keep three flags down ,who can complain.i was thinking about heading there a week from saturday, anybody want to tag along? i have some gps spots that there wont be a sole for a few miles and we can catch walleye after walleye.

Larry,

I will be up around Adams on the 16th-18th. I would love to get out there, as I have only fished it during softwater times. Perhaps even get Theedz to come along. I have a wheeler, shack, tip-ups, jig sticks, and other stuff I'll be bringing up. I need an escape from the wife and her mom! hehe Let me know, and we'll try to hook up.

sounds great fellas. lets plan on saturday. i like to head out of monroe center on the east side of the lake. we all can meet in the parking area above the launch.
SHEP , i also have all the equipment so bring your own stuff, i have a 4-wheeler also. i usually fish tip ups,but bring your jig poles also because there are some jumbo perch and big crappie that can be caught .
WALLEYEX, WHERE do you live?

JOHN,   no wheeler needed. what i do is unhook my trailer from the truck and hook it to the wheeler.then i can haul all my gear and friends out onto the ice. anything you want to bring is no problem.my best piece of equipment is the grill.nothing better than a hot burger on the ice. if you want to stay at my place your more than welcome ,you know that.

What time do you want to meet, Larry? Should I bring my map? I should be able to bring a stick of Venison Garlic Summer Sausage(It's the best!). What and where for bait? Looks like Sluggo is coming with Theedz.

This is gonna be fun!

Well golly, you guys mind if I tag along? My only problem is that I sold almost all of my gear due to some close calls. I am sure I can scrounge up a jig pole and some tip-ups. I can pick something up if we are short anything. Let me know.

OK, I am set. Will meet somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30 AM at the launch. I will bring my wheeler, sled, auger, Vexilar, Clearwater Classic, tip-ups(Some for Rich), jig poles, and terminal tackle. I have a portable shack and heater I can bring if necessary, but I think the weather will be nice enough. Trying to get The Extreme One and DaveJ to go, so I may or may not bring one or both kids(extra tip ups!).

Rich, you should definately go, and don't worry about finding any gear. I'm sure there will be plenty. Hope to see you there. Jerry, sorry you gotta work, but somebody has to be on the clock Saturday. hehehe

Larry, how far out are we going?

Larry, are we going out of Petenwell County park? That is by Monroe Center, or are we going by that little launch farther up on CTY Z? Here is a map.
