We're starting to get our first entries as of this week. I'm not sure of the number we've received but I'll try to give an update sometime this weekend.

Zach? Hello? What are you doing that weekend?

Maybe Steve will have his ProKicker on, and he can fish it with me?

I may be wrong since I am only the president but I believe you can register up until the rules meeting at 6:30 P.M. Saturday Aug 5th.
Mail in registrations should be sent to me no later than Aug 1st to make sure I get them before the tournament.
More info on the tournament will be coming so stay tuned.

Hi Chris! How many entrants do we have right now? I am trying to get out of work so I can help. I will be working nights for the next meeting. Will be in the Sturgeon Bay area for the next 2 days. Have a good weekend.

I would like to thank Sportsman's Warehouse of DePere, who donated a $200 and $300 gift certificate as prizes to this tournament. These gift certificates will be given out as prizes for 20th and 30th place in the tournament. We are also adding some other prizes in the near future. It looks like we'll have a great turnout for this event. Hope to see some WFer's there.

We're two weeks out from the 1st Annual "Battle of the Bay" and things are heating up from the fishing standpoint and the sponsorship standpoint. In addition to the donations of $200 and $300 gift certificates, the Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce is organizing a coupon packet for each team fishing this event along with a donation of a weekend getaway for one of the teams in this event. Other news includes fre launch fees for the tournament and plans to create an even bigger event in the future.

As for the fishing.......I'm not going to give out any secrets yet, but even with a 4 fish limit for the tournament I think we'll see a number of teams cracking the 28 lb mark.

The entries are coming in and I'll have an update next week with the number of teams. Keep those entries coming!!!

Looking for a partner. Wade says no, Bob will be at the Nascar race, RangerPat is already spoken for, Little Snuggler has to work. Hmmmm. If I would have the new boat, I would fish it with the boy. I'll keep on trying.

Shep, a guy by the screen name Mexico is looking for a partner, maybe you can hook up with him on our message board under "events"
Hope you can find someone, should be a real good time and we are working hard to make it a quality event.
So far things are coming together quite well for our first big event.
Take Care,

Just a reminder to anyone who is mulling over fishing our event that you CAN sign up the night of the rules meeting. I thought I would clarify this since there seems to be some confusion. Looking forward to seeing you all. Should be a great event.

Looks like I'll have to pass on this one. I was just informed that I am not fishing on my anniversary this year. And I just lined up a boat, too. Oh well, what's another missed tourney?!

Good luck to all WFer's fishing the Battle on the Bay!
