Merckid - 2/9/2007 2:51 PM Well Dollarbills, I suggest you not look at a price tag of a Ranger any time soon! You just may have a heart attack. Thats just it, I have and I can't see how they can run right around the same money.

Member Posts: 39 | Actually, comparably rigged, the Yarcraft is about $2500-3000 cheaper.

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Actaully Dollarbills, Jack Dunn is correct, a new 621 with 275 Verado with a kicker was actually the first boat I have heard of getting over a $60,000 price tag stuck to it. That price for this year Yar-Craft is actually pretty decent from other boats I have compared.

That would be fine if you were talking Apples to Apples! The fact is you are not! Now if you compare Boat, Motor and trailer of a 620 (the same boat) then they are not that far apart. Take a look at the way both these boats are finished off and you tell me if one is worth an extra 2 grand? Take it from someone that pays attention, this new boat is NOT going to sell if it cost this close to the 620 Ranger! Look at the dash, it's like a 1970 Chevy truck dash, Everything is all squared off on the boat, this is the 21st century get up to date! Few people care about the boat itself, looks sell boats!!!!!!!!!! I can buy a 620 with a 250 Yammy and trailer (same as yarcraft) for $2000.00 more and thats with a much nicer trailer!!!!!

Member Posts: 3899 | Welcome back, Jack! You got one of these on the way? I'm thinking of doing a Mille Lacs trip this summer. If so, I'll look you up. Nice layout on this boat. Dollarbills, are you sure on your Ranger Pricing? When you get yours, please posts pics. Actually, I like what they did with the layout of this YarCraft. The dash looks plain, because there are no guages in it yet. Oh, the round dash on the Ranger makes it real easy to mount more than on piece of electronics. Not! The graphics look new and are quite striking. I'll be interested to see colors available. As for the trailer, what makes the Rangertrail that much better in your eyes. Prestige make a very good trailer, and the main rails are fully boxed, not c-channel like on the Ranger. Also, when is the last time you used the jack on a Ranger? Now that is something I'm glad not to have to deal with. Very poor design, and lot's of them failing. Just plain hard to use. There is a 620 Ranger at the Muskie Expo. I'll see what this on is priced at, and report tonight. Edited by Shep 2/10/2007 7:43 AM

Member Posts: 39 | Hi Shep, I have a new boat coming, but not "this" new model. ![]() Are you coming over with the "extreme one" for some muskie action? Let me know when and I'll find a time slot to get you on some fish. Dollarbills, One reason the dash looks so empty is simple to explain. All these boats come with a standard digital gauge package That is why you only see the 2 gauges. It's the Smartcraft for Merc., Command Link for Yamaha, Commander for Suzuki, and I-Command for Evinrude. The counsel/dash design also allows plenty of space for people to mount 2 sonar/GPS units easily, or a 112 or 113 unit with plenty of room to spare. Edited by jack dunn 2/10/2007 8:03 AM

I have seen these things being made. Heavier side wall construction, heavier beams, all aluminum gas tank. Better built for the long haul at a better price. Built to take the work load. All around great boats. It s a win...win...$$

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Is that weight 2113 lbs without the motor? If it's with the motor, it should fly.

Member Posts: 3899 | 2006 620, 225 ProXS, Prokicker, and a 101 Maxxum. $55K. Show price is $51K. That's for a 2006. So add the kicker,and bowmount to the Yarcraft, and your at about $47K. That's $4K difference, against last years 620.

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Lets see! Add 635 lbs for a 250 Verado, another 350 lbs of fuel and another 200 lbs for equipment and you're talking roughly 3300 lbs not to mention two people which should bring that to around 3600 lbs give or take a couple hundred. I'm thinking top speed 53 MPH GPS in favorable conditions. Just don't seem fast enough for me. But it is definitely one beautiful rig.

I was seriously looking at the 21 Tundra. The 209 Yar-craft is only 148lbs. more. and if I add up the options that are offered on the Tundra the Yar-Craft 209 is $1,241.00 dolars cheaper. Could this be right? If it's that much of a difference and I can get into glass wow ![]()

Yep this new boat should set the standard for all boat builders to follow! Great attention to details and the best price on a hull ever. Look for the company to be adding a new plant to cover all the sales. As they say "it's a Homerun" and the other boat companies just lost sales! ![]()

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | I hardly doubt this boat will take away from sales of other boats of this size. Those who will buy this boat will be a select few, and those who want a Ranger, Tuffy, Triton or any other boat for that matter will buy what they want. I really don't think this boat will deter anyone from buying what they want.
