Yes they are, not sure about the length but I am guessing over 20 feet. We should see a few at the first FLW event of the year.
| |||
so I hear![]() |

I'm sure our own Jerry (think he's on their pro-staff) would know for sure. I'm sure he has some idea of what it's gonna be. Maybe he can shed some light on this subject?

Location: Rhinelander | I might also point out that G3 has grown substantially every year for the last several years in an atmosphere while other aluminum boat builders either barely hung on to current market share or lost some ground. This is a company to watch.

Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | I've owned all three mentioned here......G3, Lund, and Crestliner. I loved every one of them. They all performed like champs when it was time to make it happen. I also was fortunate enough to have alot of input on the new G3 F210 tournament model. So if you see things in this boat which look familiar, you should be able to figure out where they came from. This boat promises to be a great big-water machine and I can't wait to get in one!!! Just remember one thing: there is no such thing as a bullet-proof boat, whether it's aluminum or fiberglass. I guarantee you I could take any model made for the walleye game out on Green Bay and bring it back in pieces, if that's what one wants. Back in Lund and Crestliner's early days, they worked hard to create a product which they could be proud of. They fielded suggestions from their pro staffs, made improvements as needed, went through the pains of trial and error, and came out with winning products. I think G3 deserves that same consideration.

Geust for a day --I just wish you could get a answer what the post was intended for asking about the new G3. But no there is always somebody that has to spout-off. Saying this boat that boat is better state the facts, well we could all start bringing things up from the past on each companys growing pains. But I would prefer not to drop to that level. My geuss is your a Lund dealer, could be wrong not bashing Lund dealer's there are many many great ones. Lets try to keep these's post what they are intened for on all these site's. Have a great day!!!!

I agree, that guy has not represented himself or his favorite boat in a positive way what-so-ever . He had no business raining on your parade and excitement. I didn't see any facts mentioned other than his. so called facts. He was worried about boats being compared to his, I think he's worried about your boat as you said nothing to warrant his response. If there are claims to be made concerning how boats are holding up now and in the past I don't think I'd want to be in his corner. Good luck, duck hunter, I hope your boat is the best ever.

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | Well, I am excited to hear and see the new G3 20 footer. Seen Jerry at the Milwaukee show, and he seemed plenty excited. And I like the fact that the G3 pro team ran the 18 footers last year and gave their feedback for the 20 foot model. My only question is the size of the motor. 250? more?

the new 20 will have a 250 yamaha, they also hold 60gal of fuel, if i were going to run a aluminum boat this would be the one.

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | Thought the 18 footer's 35 gallons was a little thin for the tournaments guys. So the extra fuel is nice. 250 fourstroke I would imagine.

Dealer for Both![]() |

I sell both Lund and G-3. Both are really good companies. The boats serve different buyers. G-3 is positioned as a bargain. They market themselves as a good value for the money. They are that. In all honesty, the new G-3 won't "compete" with a 2025 Pro-V, but that doesn't mean it is a lousy boat. Their new 20 footer will compete with a lot of boats out there. I have to admit it is a little embarrassing how G-3 have shamelessly copied Lund layouts, even down to the G-3 version of Pro-Trak. But, this only points out how well Lund has designed and laid their boats out. G-3 doesn't copy and then call it an innovation. They just quietly copy the looks and ideas of Lund and others. Actually they look a whole lot more like an AlumaCraft than anything else. There is room for both of these boats in the market. Not everyone can afford a Lund 2025.

Wow, another backhanded slam. Copy Lund? How many practical ways are there to lay out a boat these days without looking similar? Unless somebody builds a two story boat I bet you'll claim they copied Lund also. Have you seen this boat? What does it have for features? Do you have any photos for us? You seem to have enough info to make the statements you've made. Shamelessly copied? How dare you, next you'll say anything used on water copied Lund. What about StarCrafts new boat? Who did they copy? I really don't care I just get upset when some people can't let a guy be excited about anything without putting it down. You might be the guy who rained on the parade before, as I would think a respectable dealer would be proud to sign his name. This is worst then arguing politics----------------------My dad can beat up your dad----na-na-na-na-na Ranger dealers said--Lunds new glass boat COPIED theirs, look them over--you'll see You could have said; there’s room for both boats WITHOUT the SLAMS GO GO GO-----Duck Hunter-----Straight to G3

Member Posts: 1382 | Boats are designed to the demands of the market. There are certain features and layouts that aluminum walleye boat buyers expect to see. No matter what the final design looked like, there would most certainly be another boat on the market that looks similar in layout and features. Be happy there are many choices for you, the dealer, to offer your retail customers.

My three cents![]() |

Worried about the boats competing against Lund? I think he should worry about the company competing, it looks like their competing on a very serious level. Has anyone looked at the ratings of the market share? Don't throw such big stones, one might bounce back. Would you like some change back, from my three cents?

Location: Rhinelander | I will be willing to bet that the new G3 will have a very nice, innovative interior. Point well taken that there are not a whole lot of things one can do with a Walleye boat interior and make it work for the customer expectations these days, so most of the boats out there on the market have similarities. This boat should be high quality product and a good value, a G3/Yamaha hallmark.

Go Duck Hunter Go - 2/19/2007 7:21 PM Wow, another backhanded slam. Copy Lund? How many practical ways are there to lay out a boat these days without looking similar? This is worst then arguing politics----------------------My dad can beat up your dad----na-na-na-na-na Wow, you certainly have quite an imagination. You incorrectly read a whole lot into what was typed, there. I said what I said. You implied the rest. Look for yourself. This model year, for example, G-3 has extrusions on their Gunwhales with tracks which look like Lund Pro-Trak and Sport Trak. This can be seen on the 2007 G-3 V-172 s. That's how I dare say it. But, what is the big deal? So what if they copied some of Lund's ideas? Again, as I said before, this just goes to show what a good job Lund has done coming up with good ideas and designs. If that made you mad, why are you not mad about my reference to Alumacraft? Maybe you missed it because you seemed to be in a hurry to jump on me about Lunds, but I said: "They copied Alumacraft more than anybody". We like G-3 and we sell quite a few of them. but we don't try to sell them against a Pro-V or a Tyee. Why would we do that? We sell them against competiing product in a similar size and price range and to our loyal Yamaha fans. As I said before, and I will say it again! G-3 is an excellent company and they build a fine boat for the money. This why they are growing.

Isn’t it silly for you or me to make statements one way or the other about a boat which hasn’t even reached the show room floor yet? The statement of embarrassing and shamefully copied—you used some very strong words which were uncalled for and made me think your motive was to bash or degrade. I didn’t think a dealer for both, would make that statement. I assumed you might have been the same author of a previous post comparing Lund Is the track system a Lund patent or design? I’m not being smart, I don’t know. I would assume some vender or supply house has the product available, just as a radio, seats, carpet any accessory items. Was it copied? Was it presented and thought to be a good idea, by the consumers? I read into your post and was left thinking; G3 has to and is the only one who copied other boats ideas, it wasn’t who they supposedly copied (AlumaCraft) it was you’re stating they copied which caught my attention. I think all boat companies take a hard look at the competitions products. I think Pro Staffs have a lot of design input also. I appreciated the tone of your second post which clarified your first post. I tried to clarify how I read it as well, as you said I read a lot more into it. Maybe I did, I hope so and if so I apologize. ----I know duck hunter and I know he mentioned Lund in a respectful manner but I don’t think his interest and excitement in his choice of boat was respected. I hope G3 and Lund supporters along with others can be careful not to imply or make statements which could be taken as degrading or disrespectful, especially in a situation like this --- somebody’s excited about a new boat which hasn’t seen the water yet. Best of luck to G3’s new 21 ft. and best of luck to Lund’s new glass boat I hope future discussions will be positive about both. We won’t know what to say until we see them and they hit the water. I'm out of money

I'm going to take a hard look at G3s new boat if its any thing like I'm hearing thats what I'm going with, Thanks for your input. The warranty on the G3 is cut and dry no limmited or other stipulations. Made a discision a lot easier !!Like the factor Pro staff had alot of input and then they built a Big water tourny boat. G3 Pro Team![]() |

The Advantage V210’s will be delivered to G3 Pro team members within the next two weeks. I have driven the V210 with the 250HP 4 Stroke Yamaha, seen the structure of the V210 and believe me this boat is built tough with a layout, storage and handling that would be very difficult for the competition to criticize. The V210 is a prime example and result of communications between G3 management, engineers and Pro Staff working together as a team focused on a common goal. Virtually every wish and suggestion from the G3 Pros has been incorporated into the design, features and layout of the V210. Good job guys. Most boats are well built and all are competing for the consumer’s dollar, as well as G3. It’s all about choices of layouts, value and the company’s commitment to their product. G3 (a Yamaha boat co.) is offering a professional quality 21ft. boat, built with the company’s commitment, dedicated to the “Pro fisherman, serious fishermen and area guides”. The V210, not only designed for walleye fishermen it will be welcomed by the salmon fishermen as well. Those who have seen the V210 describe it as a very roomy, clean, a well thought-out feature packed boat. Sorry about photos, it will be about a week or so before a photo release.
