If this is the type of reports that are the norm here, I have a report from the bay. Fished last 2 weeks, hammered em every day. Be going back out every day for the next 2 weeks.

Verado,
ended up with 10.1 lbs, 15th place. The bite was tough for me, Dani was tired because she stayed up to late the night before. (Girls)
Went to the mud off of our place hoping for a one big mud hen, nothing. Ran back to the rocks and pulled five fish, two jigging, three on flicker shads 40 feet back.

Dan B and Keven W won it with 16.5lbs, they had a huge mud hen in the basket, 29''.
Great job to both of them.

Taking a week off and going up North and I think you know where.
Have a good week. I'll give a shout and we'll see about making it to the Bay.

If you and verado want to have a personal conversation, then call each other. Speaking in code just does not cut it here, this message board should in my humble opinion, be used for reports and not the type of dialog that you and verado are engaged in.

I also fished the bay today and caught another 5 fish over 28 inches, but I sure as heck am not going to come on here and tell one of my buddies in code speak. I caught my fish running 30 feet back on Bright Purple Blades with fishscale tape in Chartruese in 23 feet of water straigt out from the lighthouse & Ganoes @ 1.3 mph. Also caught another 20 or so fish in the 17-24 inch range. Bigger fish have all come on the StaminaInc. Purple Metalic finish blade # 5. Nows that's a report.

If you are going to post a message, make it for everyone!

Just a thought.

Heck that code was a lot easier to break than the code on the marine bands out on the big pond during derby time!

I think he is talking about the tourney out of quinny that Dan B. (Bodinger) and Kevin W. (Wolfel) won on Saturday. Dont know how it pertains to the bay though.

Hi Guest, I may have missed something, but either your fish were very high in the water column, or you ran some type of weight in line or snap, bottom bouncer etc.. that you failed to mention. I also have been a stamina customer for a few years, but don't remember seeing the fishscale tape you spoke of. Where can I find that?? Thanks for the help.

http://www.staminainc.com/spinner_blades/colorado_designer.html

Blade is #5 lower right of chart.

Chartruese scale tape cut to fit on the back. I rough cut the shape of the tape and then trim with a sharp razor blade.

This has been my best producing blade this year. For beads, I run 2 green, 2 purple and 2 bright Chartruese and then another Chartruese above the clevis 20# Vanish.

I have that blade you are using. It's the fishscale tape I was questioning as to where to get that. Thanks

Made the trip to Gueno's on sun. 3 fish, 22, 24, and a 25. Lots of sheepshead and weeds. Red beeds with a gold blade was best. 1 ounce snapweight, 35 - 50 feet back, 23 feet of water. Targa

Anyone fishing the lower bay yet? (Bay Beach or Saumico Bay areas)Are the fish still down there? Just looking to get out for a few hours and don't have 2 days to check it out. Don't need specifics just wondering if guys are still catching fish there yet.

Thanks!!!

Yes,

23 foot slot 30 feet back, 1 oz keel weights, Purple,Chartruese or Hammered Copper, Purple/Chartruese all #5 blades. 1.2 mph.

Find a school and then work them, they are still there. Wind has been a problem this week. Thursday is out (small craft advisiory) Friday should be good if storms don't scatter fish. Try 10-20 feet back if you are marking fish higer. Have not had much luck on bottom in the past 2 weeks.

Now go fish!
