Are your feathers getting ruffled? I didn't say to eliminate each of these; just that how nice would it be fishing all your favorite spots during prime time May through July without any Jet Ski's and Tournament boats in them during the week and weekends? What's wrong with that cool thought?

Here's another thought.......define tournament boat. Then define boat envy. The word stereotype comes to mind.

LOL, any boat that's operated by an angler that's currently fishing or even prefishing for a tournament.

Lol, Boat envy is any angler that isn't fishing in my boat.

Man , that would be really cool. You know what would be even cooler? If no one could fish my favorite lakes or spots except me. But then again, I guess I would be considered a protectionist that only cares about my wants and needs.

The reality is that I need to except the fact that the lakes are there for all of us to use. And as long as others do not break the laws it is their right to be there. Even if their presence disrupts my tranquility or they park on my preferred fishing spot.

We all share the resources.

Another example could be the bird hunters that setup on shore and shoot out over the lake. They have their right to do so. And I had to learn not to fish some favorite spots in fall because I do not like the sound of BB's flying over head.

We just need to learn to all get along.

How nice would it be fishing all your favorite spots during prime time May through July without any Jet Ski's and Non-tournament boats in them or following you during the week and weekends?

Priceless!

The "get along guys" are mostly tournament fishermen and take offense when others accuse them of being the root of all evil.

The guys here at WF having fun...you bet that is typical. You don't see the humor in his post? He was obviously just having fun himself here, take it easy.

Well it would be different if his opinion wasn't so silly.

(See, what I did there was more kidding.) Besides, everyone knows all the anonymous posts here come form the same troublemaker:

Sunshine hit it on the nose. I never intended my first post to be trouble causing, but when someone gets all bent out of shape and over my case, I couldn't resist. I expected everyone to take the first post as a grain of salt. It was just a thought that came to me while fishing 2 weeks ago on Winnebago. Good luck on your fishing this fall. Sorry to have ruffled some feathers.

Nope not the same troublemaker, but have been called a troublemaker!!...rarely do i ever post ....... one thing that comes to mind though on his (just a thoughts) statement is I remember fishing stoney beach as a grade school kid up through the wolf river and the amount of boat traffic that has increased over the past 20 years is absolutely incredible. So his statement are justifiable maybe by saying the population of everybody using the system has increased dramatically. I thought you guys were ripping him for his opinion my bad i guess. Everybody out there wants a piece of the pie to themselves!!! Speaking of pie....glad theres no tourneys and that type of boat traffic where i grew up... best spring fishing I've ever seen there.

Who's all bent out of shape, Mr. Sensitive? Who's feathers are ruffled, Mr. Sensitive? Who's popping off with the Get-along-gang, Mr. Sensitive?

Your opinion is exactly what I stated....get your lazy ass off the couch and go enjoy it now instead of posting on some internet message board about how people don't understand you, because you miss the "good ole days".

You are the person that sterotypes tournament fishermen. Anybody with a nice shiney fiberglass boat must be a tounament a$$hole. Fact is, you're probably the same a$$jack I met on 'bago a few months ago in beat up POS 16' Lund who felt he owned the f'ing lake.

So in a nut shell I was never offended by your first post, and my first post wasn't meant to be offensive.......but some of your later posts. Well take it for what it's worth.

Have fun deleteing this one, Steve. This thread has been a nice reminder.....

Of course its probably partially my own fault because I don't identify myself......the cops made me do that a few times though, when they could catch me!!

Sure it would be great if everyone had all their spots to themselves both tournament and non-tournament but that will never happen. My only advice is to get out on the real crappy weather days. Coincidently, those have been my best fish catching days as well.

I agree Rich those are great days to fish especially where I look downstream and that bridge is below me as I look upstream a marsh inlet on my right...... going upstream a corporate office on my left going upstream a sandbar in the middle of the river....going upstream more marsh on my left.....ahhhhh home sweet home!!

What a stupid question. There is 1000x times more "damage" done by the meathunters who keep everything that swims every single time they go on the lake.
