Member Posts: 10 | We are rigging a 2008 2060 tuffy dw with a 250 suzuki with a powered 6" jackplate. Does anyone have similar set-up? If so what kind of speeds and what kind of ride quality/performance?

Location: Rhinelander | I know odf a couple. 60's are possible, especially since you will have a jackplate on the rig. I'm pretty biased, but I think the ride is one of the best out there, especially when things get ugly. Any problems on customer service needs, just contact Tuffy at 800.359.4416, and they will take good care of you.

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Is this the new model with the larger cockpit and shorter splashwell? I don't think you will have any problems with 60's considering it has a 250 on back. I have a 225 Opti on a 2060 and hit upper 50's easily. Post pics please!

Member Posts: 10 | Yes, this boat has the new splashwell, flush mount controls, and access to kicker controls through the side. I want to rig a BIG-BOY 250 for the boat shows. Had a powered jackplate collecting dust so wanted to try it. I'm not sure if it will help or hurt the performance/ride on this boat. Some tuffy owners in the past said the hull design was set up to run better with motor on transom. Any truth or just rumor? We really want this boat to Haul A##!

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Not too sure about the rumor but my 06 2060 with a jackplate has been said to go a little faster than one without the jackplate. What boat shows are you going to have this rig at? I really need to check one out. Edited by Horshak 12/31/2007 10:13 AM

Location: Rhinelander | The plate won't hurt, that's for sure. It will allow you to really dial in on the height for the prop you are running.
