Up to the owner at this point because of the age of the rig (sounds like a Rampage 150 C), but I'd guess it'd draw more than $1600.00 All one can do is make the offer, and see what is said.

I had a 1990 Walleye Rampage with a 25 Merc. This was a Tiller. I bought it for $5200 new, and sold it in 2000 for $3700. Same boat as the one you describe, except Tiller 25 HP. I really liked that boat. Handled Bago just fine. I think that is a fair price for that boat, depending on condition.

If this guy wants to sell it, let him set the price. You can go from there. Otherwise start low. You wont lose the buy because he is offended. See where he wants to be. If he puts some remarkable price out there, you will know very soon if you will get it or not. I pulled some numbers and it would be in the 2k range. as long as it is nice. I would check for wood rott however. before paying top dollar.

Rich...........if he is selling the boat make him give you the price. Otherwise he is looking for a sucker willing to over pay. You are on the right track by finding the value before you start negotiating.

Good luck.

Congrats on your boat! That looks just like the one I had too. I'm thinking my next boat will be that same color combo. Kind of a retro look, if you will. Enjoy your ride, and catch lots of walleyes.

Rich, congrats on your new boat. Sounds like you got a good deal. The boat you see in the pic I posted was in like new condition with a 50 HP Mariner on it. Custom cover and the other works to boot. The boat was 14 years old and still served it's purpose very well.
