Member Posts: 1382 | The weatherman was correct last night; it's raining in Pierre, South Dakota and it looks like it will be all day. Winds are out of the east at the forecast 10 to 20. The run to the West Bend will not be real pleasant for the Pros running the 50 mile plus trip. Everyone I spoke to this morning said they were looking for the one or two over 20" that will make or break a Pro's chances to make the cut. Member Posts: 1382 | The windy, rainy, cold weather did indeed effect the fishing today, but according to most of the pros, the bite ws still very good. High wind took some of the Pros out of their A spots, but there were still several 9# lus baskets. Ron Seelhoff didn't catch a kicker fish today, but his 7# weight was enough to allow him to hold on to third at the end of the day. Scott Bank's 10.50 was enough added to his day one weight to take over second. Kelly Klemm did what so many Pros said it was inevitable someone would during this event, and caught a big girl to vault him into first with a 14.56# Day Two basket and a total weight of 21.56#, enough to lead by 3#, tough to overcome if he can stay on his fish tomorrow and Saturday....unless someone else connects with a big fish and scrambles the lead in the process.
