Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Thirty-six boats took to Rathbun Lake, located in Southeastern Iowa for the second stop on the FLW League Heartland division schedule. The 11,000 acre lake was forgiving; 33 of 36 boats brought fish to the scale. Extreme boat traffic that made it look like Fourth of July and high skies still allowed the anglers to get their fish and got them many different ways. Boater Mark Micheal and co-angler Gary Casper took home the top spot with 15lbs-15ounces to claim a combined check for $3780.00. Michael came to the scale with two fish over 25 inches and noted that he caught his fish anywhere where he located white bass. "The walleyes were located right below the bass, so where you found them, you found the walleyes," Michael stated. Adam Sandor and co-angler Wes Loeckle also came to the scales with a solid basket of 13lbs-13ounces to claim second place and a combined check for $2290.00 There were many different techniques in which the anglers caught their fish, but trolling lead core and flat lining cracks was to be the ticket for most. Cory Batterson and co Jamie Wallingford nabbed third place with 12lbs-9ounces to cash a combined check for $1920.00. Troy Nelson and co Leo Brokken brought 9lbs-2ounces to the scale to claim fourth place and a combined check for $1650.00. Finishing fifth with 8lbs-10ouinces was Darrell Hinderaker and co Curtis Wuensch to claim a combined check for $1080.00 to round out your top five. The Frabill big fish honors went to Cliff Banks with a 2lb-15oz fish. Image Gallery: http://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/leaderboard/llb.asp?t=924&view=ima...
