Member Posts: 885 | After having good success this past weekend, I figured I'd stock up on Flicker Shads only to find out that Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops did not show them on their web sites for sale. I stopped at Cabelas in Richfield on my way home from Milwaukee today and was told that they are being discontinued. Whats' up with that? I finally catch a bunch of Walleyes on them and now they discontinue the entire series. So on my way back, I stopped at Midwest Sportsman in Lomira and they have 1000's of them on closeout priced at $1.99. I bought every #5 Hollywood they had after digging through the table, so if anyone needs that color, let me know and I'll get them to you for the same price I paid. Or... if that is only a rumor, I might be stuck with a hundred #5 Hollywood Flicker Shads. Purple Skeeter

Member Posts: 84 | This is from Gary Parsons from the Next Bite Website: Guys, Guys, Guys. Berkley did not quit producing the Flicker Shad. They raised the prices about $1.50 and Bass Pro and Cabelas buyers thought they were too expensive and didn't purchase any because they thought that the consumer wouldn't pay $4.00 to $4.50. In my book, they catch fish so well and are still two bucks less than a Shad Rap so it's a no brainer. Fleet Farm, and I believe Scheels and Gander will still have them. Also, raise hell with your local Bass Pro and Cabelas and email their corporate offices and demand this bait back. After all the consumer

Member Posts: 86 Location: Fond du Lac, WI | I picked up a couple at Cabelas in Richfield back in April. The shelves were pretty empty then too, so I grabbed 3: Blue Tiger, Orange Shad and Rainbow Spectrum. Just wondering at what depth or how far back you're running these lures? Also, if you're willing to part with a couple of the Hollywoods, I would be interested too. Thanks. Dave Edited by DaCoder 6/4/2008 12:45 PM

Member Posts: 885 | Just a quick reminder... I bought the smaller version in Hollywood... Sportsmans in Lomira has about 1000 of these in every color and size (except Small Hollywood) on the closeout table priced at $1.99. I'll be going by there again on Friday if anyone close to me needs me to pickup any colors....
