Location: Neenah, WI | On Sat. July 12 my wife fished the Pop's tourney with a friend of ours. Just before the weigh-in time they hooked a Sturgeon by Garlic Island. They did their best to at least get the board but the line broke and they lost it. Before noon on Sunday a friend who lives on Harrison Rd. to the northeast called and said he's been watching a board for a long time and it finally washed up on shore. Yup, it had my name and phone # on it!! That's a long way in less than 24 hrs. and a 1 in 10 million chance that a friend would find it in his yard!! I owe Lance Olsen a few beers.

| Glad your board found one of the good guys out there, and will make it's way home. No support group needed on this occurance, unless it's to drink that beer!

| That's a cool deal your friend found the board. Kind of neat how the board made it to the other side in less than 24 hours. Wasn't the wind speed during that weekend quite high? You should ask him how many lures wash up on shore too.

Location: Neenah, WI | I figure the Sturgeon swam to deeper water and the line just came out of the release. It was pretty windy and that little sucker just rode the waves. Living on the lake myself I do find a crankbait or bobber once in a while on the shore. They're usually pretty beat up and faded but they make good conversation pieces. Maybe the Hot'N'Tot will find its way back too!!!! |
