Member Posts: 215 | troll in the morning if you want little eyes and possibly some thata are bigger. I too also heard of the night bite on the east shore near county park. That has ended as far as I know. Heard about that 3-4 weeks ago. Lots of small stuff comimg off of the east shore no matter what technique you use, with a suprise 15+ incher from time to time. Good luck..and if you find the big ones...I'd love to know!!

Member Posts: 183 Location: Menasha, Wis. | Trolled the east side from north of the clay banks to the park Tuesday after work. There was a group of boats anchored off the clay banks and I assumed they were slipbobbing the walleyes. Also, quite a few people fishing from shore at the park. Marked a lot of fish on my troll, but the only thing I brought to the boat was small walleyes, white bass, and sheepies. Talked to a couple of guys prefishing for the Merc, and most are getting small fish with maybe a 20+ incher once in a while. Sure hope the bigger fish get active soon. Happy fishing to all.

Member Posts: 1406 | My 12 year old got 11 eyes yesterday off the dock on the east shore! biggest was 16" and right at dark when the skeeters came out! They are there you just have to convince them to bite early, I think a lot of people will be surprised at the weight that will win the merc and otter this year! Wish I could be there! Good Luck Tyee

Member Posts: 183 Location: Menasha, Wis. | Trolled the East side on Saturday 6/7. Stayed in the 19 foot DOW and ended up with a 17 inch and 20 inch, plus a lot of the 12 - 13 inchers. Pulled Shadraps, Thundersticks and Walley Drivers. The Shadraps got the most action.Got checked by the Warden, and he stated that fish were being caught out from the park, but people must be keeping the small ones, as he seemed impress with the size of the two I kept. Happy fishing to all

| Those 17 - 20 inchers look huge after catching those little ones! Happy to get a report of the warden out working on Saturday, with so many small fish there will be many tempted to take more than the limit. | |||

New User Posts: 3 | Saturday June 7 report: Went out of Pipe by myself at 8:30 am, fished until 3 pm. 9 walleye, all small except one 22". Most caught on #5 firetiger shad rap 80 feet back on 10 lb fireline, except one on a bottom bouncer w/ worm harness. Best trolling bite was running S to N along the east shore in 14 FOW, south of Pipe. Also tried the open water mud bite but didn't find any fish doing that, maybe didn't spend enough time. Also caught 6 white bass, 2 perch (one on a shad rap, one on a Hot n Tot, both trolling), and a bunch of sheep). Caught some of the walleye slip bobbering leeches on one of the deeper west shore reefs, too, but only spent about 45 minutes doing that.

| Hey Ghost, the way you have fished so many patterns is just like your pre-fishing for a tournament. Reads like you have some tournament angler swimming around in your blood. | |||

Member Posts: 194 | Went out this morning (Thursday) just south of Stockbridge, tolled anywere from 11' to 19' deepths. Picked up 4 smaller walleys, a 16 inch smallmouth, and 2 sheepshead. All are still in the lake. Everyone I talked to was also catching a quite a few small eyes, where are those big guys hiding?
