Member Posts: 885 | I'm working on a new detachable lighting system for Planer boards. I been testing the prototypes for several weeks now and they are amazing. Battery life 24-30 hours continous use, visibility up to 1/2 mile or greater. Simply put... they are awesome. Simple and easy to use, runs on 2 AAA bateries, easy to replace on the go, no tools needed to mount or use this product. Before I post the product, I'd like to get some ideas from everyone. I've been using my built-in LED light system for over 10 years and I wanted to come up with something detachable for the guys that use glow sticks at a comparable cost. This product attaches to the outside of the board and is complete by itself, no wires to run, no holes to drill. Thanks for your help!

Member Posts: 80 Location: Lake Erie | You caught my attention, I night fish with boards for walleye at least 25 time per year, in the spring and fall I'm out there at least 2-4 days per week, if it's fishable I go and so do alot of my buddy's, We have been using Garrity Glo Lite's we buy them at Walmart or online, There are two ways to attach these to the boards, one being using 2 zip ties, slide them in slide them off the flag, or rubber band them to the board, easy as pie, the lights cost 2.49 each and they last forever, I like green and red and run them on the appropriate sides of the boat. When do you plan on clueing us in on what you have come up with.

Member Posts: 188 Location: Westland, Mich. | this is what my brother and i have been using for the last 4-5 years. the thill bobber lights are only $2.75 or so at walmart and have 20-25 hours of run time. they light up the whole flag, so it's easy to see if your flag is down if you're running tattle flags. easy to see at normal distances too. instalation is just a couple of inches of plastic tube wired to a hole in the flag.
