Shep, My first finder was a bird flasher at the console, ran it for years jigging the Wolf, never looked back went to the smaller Bottom line units for a few years (as thats all I could afford) and except one time when Garmin came out with their first GPS unit, I bought both a finder and a graph, and only ran them on the console for a year. I still use the GPS in the back of the boat when trolling (been transfering those points to my Bird for about 4 years now) but my main and bow have always been birds, I didn't get to the 900 series until 4-5 years after Troy was on their staff, and took a real close look at the sidefinder and their power capabilities . I can't vouch for Lowrance as I never owned one! Hope I'm not disapointing you I know how much you love your Lowrance units, but dollar for dollar, they do what I need them to!

Good Luck
Tyee

Shep, you need to lay off this thread. Everyone will not have the same opinions you have, it's ok there are differing opinions.

I don't see an issue with any of my answers. I never bashed any brand. I was not nasty in any of my replies, just stated facts as I know them. You want me gone? Consider it done.

I have owned lowrance, garmin, raymarine, and humminbird.I can honestly say the worst support I have gotten is from lowrance.Electronics are a personel choice people usually gravitate to what they are comfortable with.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mark will also be doing the same presentation again at the Gurnee Mills Bass Pro Shops on Saturday march 14th at 6pm.

Pat Neu says: "The seminars that will be given by Mark Gibson from Humminbird will be extremely valuable for any angler who is looking to upgrade their electronics. Mark was intimately involved with the development of the new Humminbird products of the past few years. His knowledge of the Humminbird Side Imaging technology will give attendees a much clearer understanding of how this technology can help the average angler catch more fish. I highly recommend attending one of Mark’s upcoming seminars."
