I'm trying to dial in my X-135 on the bow for jigging the river. I either get no seperation on the bottom or too much garbage. Any tips on settings for getting it dialed in so I can actually get some seperation on bottom and a cleaner picture? The transducer is in my bowmount motor. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Get out the manual and read it read it read it, also use the zoom feature... sensitivity adjustment can be tricky in a river... I like to make sure other sonars are off too...

It is a try but have you compared it to your oem transducer? Temporarily mount it and compare the 2?

On a Lowrance do they have a transducer select in the menu, my Humminbird does and it made difference
