Hi all

I would like to take a moment and tell you about a movement that is happening. On march 6th 2009 a pro-ethanol lobbying organization called growth energy aligned with 54 ethanol manufactureres and formally requested that the EPA allo a increase of blends from E10 to E15 That is percentage. On april 21st the EPA published a notice for comment in the Federal register, beginning a 30 day public comment period. It ends 5-21-09

Most outboards are not equipt to handle any more ethanol than they have in the blend right now. This will make the O.B. Companies spend more money at R&D to compensate and will cause engine prices to rise. It evaporates faster than gasoline and leaves deposits beind that can plug and wreck your injection systems. Its time to stand up.

go to HTTP://capwiz.com/nmma/home/ to quickly and easil send your comment to the EPA.

Urge them to deny the E15 waiver

Please spread this through the fishing world as we are th main users of outboards and we can make a difference really easy.

Thanks

Minnesota will be going to a 20% blend here shortly. All a bunch of politically driven crap. How do they think that a lot of the new outboards that take 10% can handle 20% or same for the automobile industry. This stuff is going to break this country unless you can buy a vehicle cheap. The B100 has increased to 5% in diesel fuels now. It will be going up in a few years to 10 and then a few years it will go to 20%. I like to see them run this crap in the winter.
