Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | IN-FISHERMAN DISCONTINUES WALLEYE IN-SIDER MAGAZINE
Baxter, MN, May 5, 2009—In-Fisherman, a division of InterMedia Outdoors, Inc., announced today that it would cease publishing Walleye In-Sider magazine after the May-June 2009 issue.
"Economic challenges aside, our commitment to the walleye market hasn't wavered," said Jeff Paro, President and CEO of InterMedia Outdoors. "We will continue to produce and distribute the world's finest walleye content through our extensive print, television, and online media platforms."
Walleye In-Sider, published six times per year to an audience of over 60,000 avid walleye anglers, was the first and last word in walleye fishing. Since 1989, it chronicled the sport's fast-breaking news and innovations in tackle and techniques.
Steve Hoffman, Vice President and Group Publisher of InterMedia Outdoors fishing titles said, "Walleyes are part of the foundation of In-Fisherman, and that's not going to change. We will continue to teach readers and viewers how to catch more and bigger walleyes—and help our advertisers sell more product."
In-Fisherman will continue to publish the highly successful Walleye Guide, which has detailed the ongoing development of walleye fishing tactics for 25 years. More than 100,000 copies are distributed each year to major newsstands across the United States and Canada, making it the world's largest walleye publication.
InterMedia Outdoors also will continue to cover cutting-edge walleye techniques online at the newly redesigned In-Fisherman Web site (http://in-fisherman.com) as well as tournament and industry news at WalleyeFan (http://walleyefan.com). Hardcore walleye anglers also will continue to find an in-depth walleye feature in every issue of In-Fisherman magazine, and frequent walleye segments on In-Fisherman and Critical Concepts television series.

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | From what I am readin' elsewhere, you will receive In-Fisherman until your subscription runs out. If you are looking for a replacement magazine, I have been very happy with the FLW walleye edition. Lot's of great stuff from Al Linder and his crew.

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I had subscribed to the insider since it was a paper magazine. Mine ended in March and I did not renew. I asked the 4 or 5 callers that wanted my money what they were going to put in the mag now that they have no walleye circuit, they could not answer. I gave them no money. Sure am glad I did not now. |

| From the tv shows to the magazine the fishing world has passed The In-Fishermen by. The show on tv has the same basic shows on over and over while occasionally throwing in something no one really cares about. Same with the magazine. I have seen some articles that were wrote over 10 years ago and simply reprinted. |

| well with age comes change... from the early days of in-fisherman and the walleye insider to the early days of the mwc, pwt, usfa and all the others. when the quest for walleyes seemed endless and the tournament competion took us to many many new places without major expence or stress ... to now today... where the quest has become too spendy for our children to get side tracked with. when a new deep v with a not so freindly on gas outboard didnt cost half as much as a house...when pre fishing consisted of a day before or two if you had some vacation to take from work., and when the taxes were low and we had a few bucks to fill the tank and go compete or spend the weekend with freinds chasing the marble eyes....when 6 guys would pool there money and get a lakeside cottage with a kitchen , when people from town would show up at the weigh in site with there kids. oh ya the good old days are gone... Nice fancy boat and shirt though! im guessing your paying with your credit card Mr. Pro walleye guy? . Things change time to join a horseshoe league. until then See you at the Merc! |

Oh Bradley, its not time to put a fork in it, its not done. Its time to embrace change. It time to know that the bigger engines on the fancier boats get better fuel mileage than my 115 2 stroke on a 17 ft boat did. Its time to make things more exciting for the spectators. Its time to get ready for the next coming. Tourneys have taken hits over the years when economic times were a struggle. They always continued and they always will. Our competitive nature will not stymee the need for glory. There has been guys in all competitive fishing that have used CC's to fund there adrenalin. Thats nothing new. There are guys who plan to fish no matter what. When things were cheaper you made less money as well. Take it easy my friends. I believe you will see some very exciting times ahead. |
