Thank you to everyone for participating in the Fox River Classic. The weather threw us a curve ball this year and forced a decision to be made that was unpopular to a few contestants. The decision was made and based on effort to ensure the safety of everyone.

There was some confussion as to how we will draw boat numbers next year. As Randy stated at the awards portion of the event, we will be using postmarks to determine boat numbers next year. If, for example, the postmark we are looking for is the 12th, we will accumulate all entries stamped the 12th. We will then set aside the 13th, 14th and so on for a period of 7 days to make sure they all arrive. At this time we will assign boat numbers by drawing out entries postmarked the 12th. If are openings left, we will move to drawing from the 13th postmarks, and so on until the tournament is filled.

Thanks again and we'll see you next year!

I've attached the final standings to this posting.

Awesome tournament as always and even better "after tourney" as always! I have a suggestions for the boat numbers: the way you guys explain it makes sense, but can we have a random draw done at the tournament? I suggest everyone coming in to get their boat number draws a poker chip with a number on it, then you are handed your boat board with your number on it after you draw your number. You then write the names of the team members on a spreadsheet next to their number prior to the rules meeting.

Had a blast and no matter what is decided will be back next year and every year after that...

Had a great time again this year. The first couple hours were a pain with the wind, rain, and cold. But the fish were willing biters all day. We probably caught about 25-30 all day. jerry was getting worried when I through back some 18 inchers before noon. I wasn't worried, but I was sure hoping to get a couple pigs to go. The day actually tuned out to be quite pleasant in the afternoon. We caught every single sheepshead that the others entrants didn't!!!!

Congrats to the winners. Probably the only team that has jigged every year they've been in it, and that persistance payed off for them.

Thanks, jerry. Had a great time. We'll do it again. And join me for some musky action this year!

Note: No Off Shore planer boards were injured during this event!

Shep, I also harmed no offshore boards in this tournament.

Did anyone else catch a bouy or two?

I bounced a couple of a bridge support. I apologize. Must have been during the tilted kilt vision I was having.

Jerry and I went to Hooters for wings and Miller Lites. He got the 3 mile Island. Looked like he just had an over exposure at Kewanee!

It seems to me that there was 4 teams with the boat no. in the 90's that were in the top 10. I guess being the first boats out didn't really matter. In fact there were 5 boats if you count Randy and Karls order they went out in. Great job by Randy and Karl and all that helped.
